Stevenson Barrie

Willamette Valley

For close to 20 years, Michael Stevenson has been the head winemaker at Panther Creek.  Since 1998 he has also quietly produced his own Stevenson Barrie label making single vineyard designates from highly acclaimed Willamette vineyards such as Shea, Freedom Hill and Temperance Hill.  Total production for the Stevenson Barrie wines ranges from about 700-800 cases annually depending on the vintage.  These wines have a very loyal following and are not easy to come by.  Thanks to our team member Joseph "Dirty Bird" Ciriello who met Michael many years ago, we are able to get limited quanties for the NY market.

Besides having access to what are indisputably some of the very best vineyards in the US for Pinot Noir, we simply love Michael's overall wine philosphy:  No new oak, the best vintages are those that produce ripe fruit and still clock in under 13.5% ABV, and the wines are built to age for at least 10 years.  Furthermore, and equally as important, Michael allows and wants each wine to be as vintage and site specific as possible. We are extremely proud and honored to be able to represent whatever quantity of these wines we can get.
